State Senate

I am honored to represent Senate District 26 in the Colorado State Senate. I wouldn't be here today without the wide range of Democrats, Republicans and Independents who supported me!
I pledge to be a voice of moderation and reason in the Colorado Senate and wish to thank the voters and many volunteers who helped elect me. I promise to stand up for our common values and to seek common-sense solutions that work for all of us. I am a senator who listens to people of all political persuasions and who champions solutions that work for the vast majority of us in the political middle.
So, let's join together and stand up for our values – not Democratic values or Republican values, but Colorado values. Together, with your ideas and your support, we can protect our people, improve our economy, and work to maintain our low-tax state while still providing for our generations to come by investing adequately.
We are currently in session through May and I serve on three Senate Committees:
* Judiciary
* Health and Human Services
* Local Governments and Renewable Energy
